Android studio using > 100% CPU at all times - no background processes appear to be running
I've noticed Android Studio (when running) uses greater than 100% CPU at all times, even when it appears there are no background processes that the IDE is running (indexing, etc). I might suspect this were something specific to my box, but some fellow developers are encountering this as well.

Not all days have 86400 seconds. For a trivial example that's fine but it's not a good idea in the real world. DST changes, leap seconds, etc can all mess with it. NSCalendar can tell you how many seconds are in a given day.

First off, a "port" is just a number. All a "connection to a port" really represents is a packet which has that number specified in its "destination port" header field.

A wait can be "woken up" by another thread calling notify on the monitor which is being waited on whereas a sleep cannot. Also a wait (and notify) must happen in a block synchronized on the monitor object whereas sleep does not:
