jQuery .data() does not work, but .attr() does
... "set attr" button, then (2) click "get" button. this is what happened: it alerted me, "{"test":"meow"}". so, the .attr() set the attribute. otherwise, the alert would have been empty. If you follow those exact steps, do you get different results? thanks.
