First commit any outstanding code changes, and then, run this command:
git rm -r --cached .
This removes any changed files from the index(staging area), then just run:
git add .

Don't do it this way.
You don't want "middleware" for a one-time startup thing.
You want to execute code in the top-level urls.py. That module is imported and executed once.
