Why is processing a sorted array faster than processing an unsorted array?
...I'm thinking of situation of array that looks like: [1,2,3,4,5,...998,999,1000, 3, 10001, 10002] ? will this obscure 3 increase running time? Will it be as long as unsorted array?

What do 'statically linked' and 'dynamically linked' mean?
...sn't know the memory address of printf. So the compiler just writes CALL 0x0000, and adds a note to the object file saying "must replace this 0x0000 with the memory location of printf".
Static linkage means that the linker program (the GNU one is called ld) adds printf's machine code directly to yo...
How do I make a list of data frames?
...m(50))
But who does only one simulation? You want to do this 100 times, 1000 times, more! But you don't want 10,000 data frames in your workspace. Use replicate and put them in a list:
sim_list = replicate(n = 10,
expr = {data.frame(x = rnorm(50), y = rnorm(50))},

What are the differences between NP, NP-Complete and NP-Hard?
...it's slow: to factor a 10 digit number, you have to try something like 100,000 possible divisors. But if, for example, somebody told you that 61 is a divisor of 3233, simple long division is a efficient way to see that they're correct.
The complexity class NP is the class of decision problems wher...
Why do people say there is modulo bias when using a random number generator?
...which is 3 bits. Unfortunately, 3 random bits yields 8 possible outcomes:
000 = 0, 001 = 1, 010 = 2, 011 = 3
100 = 4, 101 = 5, 110 = 6, 111 = 7
We can reduce the size of the outcome set to exactly 6 by taking the value modulo 6, however this presents the modulo bias problem: 110 yields a 0, and 1...
How does data binding work in AngularJS?

Limited — You can't really show more than about 2000 pieces of information to a human on a single page. Anything more than that is really bad UI, and humans can't process this anyway.
So the real question is this: How many comparisons can you do on a browser in 50 ms? Th...
