which produces the same as the first example.
EDIT
As mentioned by @MikeFHay in the comments:
I prefer using Guava's Splitter, as it has saner defaults (see discussion above about empty matches being trimmed by String#split(), so I did:
Splitter.on(Pattern.compile(",(?=(?:[^\"]*\"[^...
Is “else if” a single keyword?
...is no else if keyword. We can find a more accessible list of C++ keywords by going to cppreferences section on keywords.
The grammar in section 6.4 also makes this clear:

await vs Task.Wait - Deadlock?
...is scheduled as a continuation.
You also mentioned a "cooperative block", by which I assume you mean a task that you're Waiting on may execute on the waiting thread. There are situations where this can happen, but it's an optimization. There are many situations where it can't happen, like if the ta...
How to check if running as root in a bash script

@StephenAngelico Sudo should work. If you're testing it by doing $ sudo echo $EUID ; that's a bad test and will fail because $EUID is expanded before the command is passed to sudo. Try putting echo $EUID in a test script and running that with sudo.

Why doesn't C++ have a garbage collector?
...st people don't really realize what they are talking about. As illustrated by Martin Beckett the problem may not be performance per se, but the predictability of performance.
There are currently 2 families of GC that are widely deployed:
Mark-And-Sweep kind
Reference-Counting kind

Only variables should be passed by reference
...tension = end($parts);
The reason is that the argument for end is passed by reference, since end modifies the array by advancing its internal pointer to the final element. If you're not passing a variable in, there's nothing for a reference to point to.
See end in the PHP manual for more info.

How to improve performance of ngRepeat over a huge dataset (angular.js)?
... - approach to overcoming these challenges with large datasets is embodied by the approach of Ionic's collectionRepeat directive and of other implementations like it. A fancy term for this is 'occlusion culling', but you can sum it up as: don't just limit the count of rendered DOM elements to an arb...
